Tulsa Zoo’s Capital Campaign

The Tulsa Zoo is paving a path toward greatness.

Few in our community will ever travel the world to see threatened and endangered species in their native habitats. We are making these experiences possible for all with an accessible, family-friendly place where learning, exploration, and engagement happen every day. 

William S. Smith African Wilds, our Centennial project, will provide a much-needed new home for our lions, painted dogs, meerkats, and other African animals. In addition, it will introduce pygmy hippos and bring back a favorite of our zoo guests, zebras. This complex is designed for up close connections, while providing our animals with modern, species-appropriate habitats with the highest standard of care.

Upon completion, we expect to welcome nearly 800,000 guests annually with the potential to reach one million by the end of our Building Beyond Campaign. This campaign is a transformational step forward for the Tulsa Zoo-one that will inspire future generation, strengthen Tulsa’s cultural landscape, and elevate our role as a leader in animal well being and conservation. This expansion will take our zoo into the next 100 years!
